How to visit the Azores

   

Visiting the Azores, if you don't have time to relax, stretch out, socialize with the locals, and soak up the atmosphere, means being on the islands but missing out on the most interesting aspects.

When visiting the Azores, give yourself enough time to truly feel like you're on vacation and not rushing to see as much as possible. This typically means between 10 and 15 days, unless it's just a quick getaway, which is also enjoyable but with different characteristics.

So, how should one visit this archipelago of nine islands?

We should do it in stages, dedicating one vacation to a group of islands and, over the years, exploring other groups on different vacations, repeating a particular group of islands as many times as desired.

Possibly, the first island to visit would be São Miguel, the largest and with a greater variety of attractions, which will leave us wanting to explore the rest of the Azores.
